Water industry. Worker operating the controls for a water uptake system for a waterworks. The water is obtained from a river, which is seen outside the windows at left. The water will be treated to remove sediment, and disinfected with ozone, to produce clean drinking water. This water extraction system is on the River Po in Italy, just upstream from the confluence with the River Sangone. It is operated by SMAT, the metropolitan water company of Turin, Italy.
