London Eye
London Eye, on the south bank of the River Thames, Lambeth, London, England. This is an observation wheel that rotates to raise its passenger capsules 135 metres above the ground, giving spectacular views over London. It was designed by architects David Marks and Julia Barfield, and was opened in 2000. To the right of the London Eye is a building called County Hall. This used to be headquarters for local government, but is now a leisure complex and aquarium. It dates from 1911, but it was not completed and opened until 1933.
