Canary Wharf tube station
Canary Wharf, London Underground station, England. This station was the showpiece of the extension of the Jubilee Line to increase transport links to Canary Wharf. The design, including the glass roof seen at the top of the escalators, was by the architects Norman Foster and Partners. The station opened on 17 September 1999. Canary Wharf is a large business district in East London. It was built in the 1980s and early 1990s as part of the redevelopment of the Docklands area.
