It also has flagella tails, one sectioned at centre left for movement. It is an intestinal parasite, and it attaches to the intestinal lining using its attachment disc. This is seen as a brush of comblike cilia pink, righthand side of cell. This parasite can cause diarrhoea in humans. Infection is normally through ingestion of contaminated food or water.
