Tiger leech
Tiger leech (Haemadipsa picta) on a leaf. This predatory annelid worm feeds on the blood of other organisms. To establish itself on a host, it attaches itself to a leaf using a posterior sucker and extends the rest of its body out. When it detects a passing host it drops from the leaf and attaches itself to its host using an oral sucker. Photographed in Danum Valley, Sabah, Malaysian Borneo.
