Coral crab
Coral crab (Trapezia guttata) hiding in the arms of a hard coral colony (Seraitopora hystrix). These crabs use the coral as shelter from predators as well as feeding on the algae and debris that collects within the arms. The crabs have also been observed attacking crown of thorns starfish, which eats corals, thus protecting their home from destruction. Photographed in Manokwari, West Papua in Indonesia, Asia.
