Shield bug
Shield bug (Hemiptera, suborder Heteroptera) on the fruit of a spindle tree (Euonymus sp.). Shield bugs, also known as stink bugs, are largely herbivorous; with most species sucking out the sap from plant leaves and stems using their thin, beak-like mouth. They gained the name 'stink bug' because of the foul secretions produced when disturbed.
