Many-spotted sweetlips
Many-spotted sweetlips (Plectorhinchus chaetodonoides). Also known as harlequin sweetlips, this fish can reach a length of around 72 centimetres. It is a nocturnal predator that feeds on crustaceans, molluscs and other fish. It spends the day travelling in schools. Photographed off Sangalaki Island, in the Sulawesi Sea, Indonesia.
