Black-headed herons nesting
Black-headed herons (Ardea melanocephala) building a nest. This heron usually breeds during the wet season, building a bulky nest of sticks and twigs, and laying 2-4 eggs. It lives in dry grassland, and feeds on rodents and insects. It can reach a length of 85 centimetres. It is found in Africa, south of the Sahara Desert.
