Canada goose
Canada goose (Branta canadensis). Canada geese are migrating birds native to North America but now also found in western Europe and eastern Asia. They feed on plant material, submerging their heads to reach aquatic plants when in water. They can be up to 1 metre long. They mate in their second year and the pairs usually stay together for the rest of their lives. Photographed in Hertfordshire, England.
