Crested francolin
Crested francolin (Francolinus sephaena) walking on a branch. It inhabits grassland and thick bush in southern and eastern Africa. F. sephaena feeds on seeds, berries and insects, which it finds by scratching in the ground. It roosts in trees at night, but nests on the ground. Photographed in Mkhuzi, South Africa.
