Wren
Wren (Troglodytes troglodytes) sat on a gorse shrub. The wren is native to Europe and is one of the most successful birds in Britain. It is widespread from large cities to off-shore islands, in its favoured habitat of low cover. The wren's song, although it is a small bird of only 10 centimetres in length, is a loud trilling song that can be heard throughout the year.
