Southern right whale breeding group
Southern right whale (Eubalaena australis) breeding group, aerial photograph. This baleen whale inhabits the oceans in the southern regions of the southern hemisphere. It spends summer in Antarctic and sub-Antarctic waters, migrating northwards to breed in the winter. This group is off the coast of South Africa (top). This part of the coastline is in the De Hoop Nature Reserve, in the Western Cape region.
