Cicada
Top down view of the cicada (Tibicina haematodes) resting on the stem of a herbaceous plant in a corfiot olive grove. Sometimes known as the Vineyard Cicada it is a member of the Hemiptera insect order. The larvae can spend may years living underground before emerging and moulting into the adult form.
