Colorectal cancer
Colectomy resection sample in a case of a very large colorectal cancer (7-8 cm). This is the third most common type of cancer. The most frequent form of colon cancer is adenocarcinoma, constituting 95% of cases. The cancer is located in the rectum, just above the anus. The anal sphincter can be seen at left.
