Hitoshi Ueki, singer and actor, was born in Mie Prefecture in February 1927 and graduated from Toyo University. In 1957, he joined the Crazy Cats led by Hajime Hana, and in 1959, he became a popular figure on "Adult Cartoon" (Fuji Television), and in 1961, he became a national star with the hit "Shabondama Holiday" (Nippon Television) and "Sudara-bushi".
