ANA will promote sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) to reduce CO2 emissions
October 14, 2021, Tokyo, Japan - Japan's largest air carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) president Yuji Hirako announces they will launch the new program of "SAF Flight Initiative" to use sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) for their flights to support UNSDGs at the company's Hangar at the Haneda airport in Tokyo on Thursday, October 14, 2021. ANA and Japan Airlines (JAL) announced a joint report "Toward Virtually Zero CO2 Emissions from Air Transport in 2050" last week as they will work with the government and logistics companies to promote SAF to reduce CO2 emissions.
