Aluminite
Aluminite is a hydrous aluminium sulphate (Al2SO4(OH)4?H2O) It usually occurs as greyish-white botryoidal masses of a soft nature, the size of a golf ball or somewhat larger. They form by aggregation in clay or lignite deposits, always amorphous and never crystalline. It has no use as an ore for aluminium.
