A sign at the Mardale Head end (southern extent) of Haweswater reservoir, Cumbria, UK, indicating the Haweswater Catchment Area and warning that the reservoir contains drinking water which should not be polluted. Photographed during the drought of summer 2010; under normal conditions the entire valley would be flooded up to the vegetation line at the top of the beach.
