Skeleton shrimp
Skeleton shrimp (Caprella septentrionalis) from the White Sea, Russia. Skeleton shrimp mimic the colour and shape of the fronds of seaweed, hydroids and bryozoans amongst which they live. They use this camouflage to help ambush their prey, remaining motionless for long periods of time., by ALEXANDER SEMENOV/SCIENCE PHOTO LIBRARY
