Nissan "Silvia" (Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.)
(October 1975)
The Tokyo Motor Show will resume on October 31, 1975, for the first time in two years. All new cars exhibited at the show will be vehicles that have cleared the 1975 emission regulations, and while all production vehicles will be compliant with the 1950 emission regulations as of December 1, many new models that have already cleared the 1951 regulations will also make their debut. The era of low-pollution vehicles is finally upon us. Nissan focused on catalytic converters in response to the emission regulations, and all models, from the President to the popular Sunny and Cherry, adopted the catalytic converter system.
The second generation Nissan Silvia, a legendary car revived after a 10-year absence, is powered by an 1800 CC, single carburetor, and NAPS with EGR. Transmission can be selected from 4-stage or 5-stage = October 1975, photo by Takayuki Yatagai Mainichi Graph, October 1975, cut from Mainichi Graph, November 9, 1975, p. 4
