Large lymphocyte, TEM
Large lymphocyte. Coloured transmission electron micrograph (TEM) of a section of large lymphocyte. Large lymphocytes are not very common in normal blood. The nucleus is indented, and cytoplasm is more abundant than in small lymphocytes. Azurophilic granules are often found in large lymphocytes at light level; they are less commonly detected in small lymphocytes.
