Kasumigaura Sailing Boat

Japan: October 22, 1995, Kasumigaura - A hobikisen, or cloth sailboart, sails with the wind in Kasumigaura, a lake some 50 km northeast of Tokyo. Being an important part of the cultural heritage of Kasumigaura's historic fishing industry, the cloth sailboat was first introduced in 1880 by a Kasumigaura native. Being an important part of the cultural heritage of Kasumigaura's historic fishing industry, the cloth sailboats were brought back in 1971 as Kasumigaura sightseeing boats.
