March 8, 2013, Minami-Sanriku, Japan - A heavy machine levels the ground to rebuild the railroad track of a local line this seaside village of Rikuzen-Tokura, Miyagi Prefecture on March 8. The community located deep inside an estuary by the Pacific Ocean was destroyed when the Magnitude 9.0 earthquake and ensuing mounds of tsunami struck the nation's northeast region, leaving more than 15,000 people dead and ravaging wide swaths of coastal towns and villages two years ago on March 11.
