Light micrograph of a nerve ganglion. The ganglion has characteristic ganglion cells, which are the round structures with large round nuclei and large nucleoli (large dots within circles, within larger circles). Around the nerve ganglion is pink connective tissue containing a few small blood vessels and lymphocytes (the small blue dots). Haematoxylin and eosin stained tissue section.
