In December of the same year, he became a member of the General Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff of General Oyama in 1908, he became a military attach to the German Embassy in 1912, he became an Army Major General in 1916, an Army Lieutenant General in 1922, an Army General and Commander of the Kanto Army in 1923, he became a military councilor.
