Chinese spy balloon recovery
US Navy sailors assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group 2 recovering a suspected Chinese surveillance balloon from the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on 5th February 2023. The balloon, which had been in US and Canadian airspace since 28th January, was shot down on 4th February by a US Air Force F-22 Raptor. Recovery of the balloon debris concluded on the 17th February.
