No Charge to Open an E-commerce Site
Yahoo Japan's New Strategy
On October 7, Yahoo Japan held the "Store Conference 2013," an event for storefront operators, and announced that in order to strengthen its e-commerce (EC) business, it will begin waiving storefront and other fees for related sites in October. Freeing the fees will reduce the burden on sellers, increase the number of transactions, and compete with Amazon and Rakuten.
