Honda Electronics Subsidiary Acquired by Nidec Corporation
On April 30, Nidec Corporation announced that it would acquire Honda Elesys, a subsidiary of Honda that develops and manufactures automotive electronic control units (ECUs). The acquisition will combine Nidec's motor technologies to enhance competitiveness. Nidec President Shigenobu Nagamori at the press conference on the afternoon of October 30, 2013 in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
