Great East Japan Earthquake Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture (November 26, 2013)
November 26, 2013, Rikuzentakata, Japan - Only the time has gone by in Rikuzentakata, Iwate prefecture, two years and eight months after the March 11 earthquake and tsunami that have wreaked havoc over a wide swath of Pacific seaboard in northeastern Japan. The city, located some 410 km northeast of Tokyo, was reported to have been "wiped off the map" by the moutains of water.
