Mitsujiro Ishii Mitsujiro Ishii 1889-1981 Birthplace: Fukuoka Prefecture Politician Became Minister of Commerce and Industry in the Yoshida Cabinet in 1946, but was banned from public office; returned to politics in 1951 after serving as first president of Asahi Broadcasting Corporation. He served as Minister of Transportation in the fourth and fifth Yoshida Cabinets. He served as Minister of International Trade and Industry in the Ikeda Cabinet and as Minister of Justice in the Sato Cabinet.
