Tokyo generates approximately 7,000 tons of garbage per day, of which 400 tons are incinerated daily at the Itabashi incineration plant, which was built with the best of Japan's waste society. The contents of the garbage vary widely, ranging from food scraps to tires, organs, televisions, and many other usable items. Six months ago, 500,000 yen in cash was found.
