Hoverfly
Hoverfly (Eupeodes luniger), a member of the family Syrphidae. It is often found in a wide variety of habitats from woodland clearings and scrub to dune grasslands. The flight period is from April to November. Adults feed on a wide range of flowers, particularly umbellifers. The larvae feed on aphids. This species is found across the Palearctic ecozone.
