Nojima (1890s)
The small island of Nojima in Hiragata Bay at the Kanazawa district of Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. Japanese woodblock artist Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) celebrated the area's stunning views in his beautiful series Kanazawa Hakkei (Eight Views of Kanazawa). The island is now connected to the mainland and part of Yokohama's Nojimakoen Park Meiji 1890s
