Candidates for Tokyo Metropolitan Governor Hold Separate Conferences Mr. Tamogami expresses his beliefs

The club planned to host a joint news conference one day before the official kick-off of Tokyo gubernatorial election campaigning, but called it off due to lack of enthusiasm in candidates for expanding on their policies through public debate. The club instead hosted individual news conferences for three candidates. The 65-year-old former four-star general is running against former Prime Minister Morihito Hosokawa,former Health, Labor and Welfare Minister Yoichi Masuzoe, former head of the Japan Federation of Bar Associations and 85-year-old inventer Yoshiro Nakamatsu.
