Kondo Named New President of KFC Japan
New Structure after Transition to Holding Company
Kentucky Fried Chicken Japan (KFC) announced on April 31 that Masaki Kondo, assistant to the CEO of the Living Essentials Group of parent company Mitsubishi Corporation, will become president of Japan KFC Holdings, the holding company that will transition on April 1. President Masao Watanabe will step down as an advisor without representation rights. The transition to a holding company structure will mark a complete overhaul of the company's management structure. Masaki Kondo, president-elect of the company, at the press conference on the afternoon of January 31, 2014 in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
