Shirai to be Nitori's Next President Plans to open first store in China
Nitori Holdings (HD) announced on April 28 that Toshiyuki Shirai, Director and Senior Managing Director, will assume the position of President of Nitori, an operating company under its umbrella. Akio Nitori, the company's founder and president, will become chairman of the operating companies, but will continue as president of the holding company. In addition, the company will aggressively open new stores in Japan and overseas, and following the opening of stores in Taiwan and the U.S., it has announced plans to enter the Chinese market in the fall of 2002.
