Shirai to be Nitori's Next President Plans to open first store in China
Nitori Holdings (HD) announced on April 28 that Toshiyuki Shirai, Director and Senior Managing Director, will assume the position of President of Nitori, an operating company under its umbrella. Akio Nitori, the founder of Nitori, will become chairman of the operating companies, but will continue as president of the holding company. Nitori also announced plans to aggressively open new stores in Japan and overseas, and to expand into China in the fall of 2002, following Taiwan and the United States. Toshiyuki Shirai, president-elect of Nitori HD, at a press conference on the afternoon of March 28, 2014 in Minato-ku, Tokyo.
