Apologizes for STAP Cell Doubts
April 16, 2014, Tokyo, Japan - Yoshiki Sasai, a co-author of controversial research papers on a new stem cell mechanism, bows during a news conference in Tokyo on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Sasai, deputy director of Japan's Riken Center for Development Biology, supervised the so-called STAP cell research and the papers written by lead author Haruko Obokata, who has been accused of falsifying and fabricating parts of the study.
