Debate Continues on "New National Stadium Architects Present Counterproposals
Regarding plans for a large-scale reconstruction of the National Stadium for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, architect Toyo Ito announced on April 12 a proposal to renovate the current stadium. Zaha Hadid's design for the new National Stadium was selected through an international competition, but opposition has been voiced in terms of landscape and cost.
