Japanese workers pray for prosperity in 2024
Small wooden plaques (Ema) for hanging prayers or wishes are seen at the Kanda Myojin Shrine on January 4, 2024, in Tokyo, Japan. Many companies send workers to visit the shrine to pray for good fortune in business in the ''Begin Work Day'' the first working day of the year. According to the Japanese calendar, January 4th is the day when government officials return to their work in the new year. (Photo by Rodrigo Reyes Marin/AFLO)
