African bush elephant
African bush elephant (Loxodonta africana). This elephant is the largest land mammal in the world, with adult males standing up to 3 metres high and weighing up to 6,000 kilograms on average. It can live up to 70 years in the wild. Since 2021, it has been classed as endangered on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) list of threatened species.
