Spotted hyenas feeding on prey
Spotted hyenas (Crocuta crocuta) feeding on prey. Spotted hyenas are also called laughing hyenas because of the noise they make after catching prey. With powerful jaws and strong teeth, they re efficient predators in the wild. They live in large groups called clans, which can consist of up to 80 hyenas.
