Illustration of a Cretaceous scene with a Wielandiella angustifolia Bennettitales seed plant growing in the foreground. These plants were superficially cycad-like, but they formed into small shrubs. They had flowers and there is evidence that insects such as Kalligrammatids lacewings fertilised the plants.
