Gallbladder cancer
Gross specimen showing direct spread of gallbladder cancer to the liver. The remnant of gallbladder is seen on the right. It is surrounded by fleshy, yellow-white tumour extending into the liver. Numerous gallstones were also present in the gallbladder. Gallbladder carcinoma (cancer) is a disease of older adults and is more common in females. It is more prevalent in Latin America and some parts of Asia as compared to the United States and Europe. Some of the risk factors of gallbladder cancer are similar to those for gallstones., by WEBPATHOLOGY/SCIENCE PHOTO LIBRARY
