Light micrograph of squamous cells. The cells are polygonal in shape with centrally located nuclei (round dark purple dots). The cells are connected by intercellular bridges, seen as the many thin parallel lines in the spaces in between and around the individual cells. Haematoxylin and eosin stained tissue section.
