Shinkansen's First Resort Train TEREI-YU" will be in service soon
On March 16, JR East held a press test-ride of the Shinkansen's first resort train, "TREI-YU TSUBASA. The train features a "footbath" in the train car, a feature that is a nod to Yamagata Prefecture's abundance of hot springs, a tatami room where passengers can relax after taking a bath, and a bar counter with a selection of Yamagata's best sake and wine. The train will start service on the Yamagata Shinkansen (between Fukushima and Shinjo) on the 19th of this month.
