Canal of Hering, light micrograph
Light micrograph of a canal of Hering, or intrahepatic bile ductule, in a pig liver. These ducts are part of the outflow system of exocrine bile products from the liver. They are found between the bile canaliculi and interlobular bile ducts near the outer edge of a classic liver lobule. Histologically they are lined by a simple cuboidal epithelium., by JOSE CALVO / SCIENCE PHOTO LIBRARY
