London, UK - April 18, 2024 Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said he would fund 'baby banks' where parents in need can obtain essentials like nappies, as he launched Labour's manifesto for the London Assembly and mayoral elections on May 2. In a speech that focused on children and education, Mr Khan said he would provide universal free school meals for children in state primary schools in London, saying this would remove the "shame of not having enough money to eat".
