On the morning of the 15th, buoys were being installed along the Henoko coastline in Nago City, Okinawa Prefecture, where the U.S. Futenma Air Station (Ginowan City, Okinawa Prefecture) will be relocated. All work is expected to be completed by the end of the day. The work began on the 14th, and on the 15th, from around 8:00 a.m., about 10 vessels from the Okinawa Defense Bureau went out to the water area to install floats that connect the buoys. The Japan Coast Guard was on the lookout with rubber boats and patrol boats on the same day. On one occasion, a canoe belonging to an anti-relocation group was returned to the wharf when it tried to approach the work area.
